History |

In 1966 Nocado Armaturenfabrik was founded in the very far North West of Germany, by Rolf Trauernicht, to produce high quality valves and fittings made from Stainless Steel to suit the Beverage and Food industry. The main intention was to create jobs in this low industrialised area. At that time, Rolf Trauernicht had already successfully built up the Trauco group for building supplies. Until recently, he still guided the business development of Nocado. |

With over 200 employees in Grossefehn, Germany, and international subsidiaries and representatives that cover most of the world, Nocado is extremely innovative in the field of non-corrosive parts. With a product range of over 52,000 components Nocado is one of the most successful companies in this field. |

Nocado employs highly skilled workers in the factory as well as experienced engineers and specialists at key positions to ensure the competence and quality that people all over the world have come to expect from Nocado. Training programmes assure this position also for the future. Today the average age of all employees is 42 years old and they have been working for Nocado for an average of 17 years. |

Using the latest production technology enables Nocado to manufacture high quality mass-produced items as well as customised parts to fulfil the highest expectations. Butterfly Valves from the very first series are still in daily operation. Spare parts for all valves that were ever manufactured by Nocado are still available, most of them even from stock. Approvals/Certificates |

Different products for different industries sometimes require more than quality assurance alone. Nocado operate a quality assurance management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, that is steadily being improved. So Nocado has, in addition, several approvals such as ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, U and UM Stamp and Pressure Vessels to 97/23/EG Cat. I to V; according to AD 2000. |

Quality Testing |

According to the certified quality assurance system, at each individual step, from raw material intake to shipping, an extensive testing programme is implemented to assure that the expectations of the customer are always met. In addition to the scheduled testing, Nocado is performing a wide range of additional testing in accordance with the customers demand. Pressure Testing, Material Analysis or Surface Testing are but a few examples. |

Research and Development In close co-operation with the universities, Nocado is continuously improving the existing manufacturing programme and developing new products. So Nocado is able to offer their customers products that represent the latest in engineering technology. Several Test Stands are in operation, not only for performance testing new products, but also to verify the long-term reliability under practical industrial conditions. |

One of the strengths of Nocado is its documentation and the ability to certify performed quality tests. In addition to the extensive standard documentation available, documentation as per customer specification can be provided. Whilst Nocado has many years experience in certifying and documenting components (e.g. For the Pharmaceutical industry), Nocado also offers their customers complete and competent advice. |
